Alex is one of my oldest and dearest friends, so when I rushed up the atrium stairs at the Grain Exchange last Saturday moments before he saw Brittney for the first time, it melted my heart a little when I saw how nervous/excited/adorably-anxious he was. And Brittney? Well, she was a total knockout.
This wedding was all elegance, the Grain Exchange bathed in candlelight, dripping in hydrangeas, roses and orchids, and filled with the beautiful sounds of the Racine String Quartet as Brittney and her father walked down the aisle. Brittney and Alex, your joy was contagious. I’ve never seen a couple laugh so much at the altar.
Props to Jesse Espe, for delivering a truly touching and genuine ceremony. And how could I not mention the best opening to a best man toast I’ve ever heard, courtesy of the groom’s twin brother, Joe: “Alex, I first met you in a petri dish…27 years ago…”
Alex and Brittney, congratulations and all my love! xoxo, Kenzie
