Michelle and Michael were married in a beautiful and intimate candlelit ceremony on New Years Eve in a warehouse in Milwaukee. I arrived to the site a couple of hours before sundown to greet the bride and groom, who opted to do a first look on an abandoned floor of the building. I never get tired of a groom’s face when he spins around and sees his soon-to-be wife for the first time that day.
The sun was quickly setting during this portion of the day AND it was freezing on this unoccupied floor, but Michelle and Michael are amazing and were able to stick it out for a quick 20 minute session, and I’m so glad because I love the dramatic lighting of some of these portraits!
Hi, this is my favorite thing:
I caught the couple sneaking in the back room enjoying a few moments alone before the party kicked off.
This was my first time shooting a wedding on New Year’s Eve and it was SO. FUN. An excellent party all around.
Can’t think of a better way to start the new year…Congratulations Michelle and Michael!
