Becky and Josef were married on a bright and sunny September day at the Dowling Community Garden.
The photo above was taken moments before the couple walked down the aisle…Josef was anxiously reading his vows over and over, and Becky was just chillin with a glass of champs and McDonalds chicken nuggets. That’s why I love them!
Don’t you just love photos with Grandma?
Following the ceremony, guests were shuttled a few blocks away to the reception, which the bride and groom hosted in their backyard. They chose to DIY just about everything–flowers, decor, venue–because they wanted their wedding to be intimacy in a space they know and love.
Each person who toasted Becky and Joe during dinner knocked it out of the park–The bride’s father Kurt delivered hands down the BEST toast I’ve heard at a wedding.
Now this was a party. Think all the comforts of a good house party, only 100x more sophisticated, with better food, better drinks and the best reason to celebrate in the first place: two people fiercely in love. I was tempted to stay but waking up at 6am with an eight month-old baby is hard enough after a good night’s sleep, let alone after shooting a wedding.
