They met at a Halloween party on campus eight years ago. Both quiet and reserved, this kind of party wasn’t exactly where either of them expected to be that night. But as she walked down the basement steps, Kathleen spotted Bo across the room and was instantly smitten. A friend encouraged them to talk and they exchanged numbers. They dated, traveled the world together and while watching the sunset on vacation last spring, Bo proposed.
Kathleen and Bo opted to do a first look to kick off portraits before their ceremony. I love this next sequence:
We photographed the wedding party on the Stone Arch Bridge, and I think the pending rain worked in our favor–We had the usually crowded spot almost to ourselves.
The rain started to fall just moments after we wrapped the wedding party and bride+groom portraits. A little bit of luck and lots of planning saved us. Brides, don’t be afraid of a little rain in the forecast on your wedding day–sometimes it worth risking a few drops to get amazing photos.
Just a little ‘gramming before the ceremony …
This was such a spectacular wedding, and I was so honored to be there to capture it. Congratulations, Kathleen + Bo and best of luck in Madison!
