Kaitlan and Dan were married this past spring in Milwaukee. They met at work and have been living and working in Belgium for the past year. They wanted their wedding to be a celebration back home with all their family and close friends.
Their ceremony was held at Lake Park Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Kaitlan and Dan didn’t see each other until Kaitlan walked down the aisle. It was a really special moment and you can see from the smiles on their faces how happy and in love they are.
After the ceremony the wedding party hopped on a bus and we stopped in Milwaukee’s third ward for wedding party photos. I loved the blush pink and cinnamon tones in the bridesmaids’ dresses. And Dan and his groomsmen looked so sharp in their dark navy suits and bowties!
The reception was at The Atrium in Shorewood. This was my first time shooting at The Atrium, but having worked with the team at Sound by Design, I knew that this venue would be nothing short of amazing and it was! Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the garden rooftop while the team set the room on the main floor for dinner. My mom did the flowers and centerpieces and the tall lush greens on the head table looked so beautiful under The Atrium’s chandelier.
After toasts, we snuck back up to the rooftop so Kaitlan and Dan could exchange private vows they wrote for one another, followed by a few more portraits before sunset.
